All volunteers must complete the Archdiocese of Indianapolis Safe Enviroment training before service begins. This safe environment training is intended to bolster awareness, enhance knowledge, and more fully demonstrate our commitment to the well-being of every person served by the ministries of our parishes, schools, and agencies.

Work with Children and Families

• Conduct intake interviews and provide basic needs. 
• Conduct food drives.
• Stock pantry shelves and assist clients in clothing room. 
• Database entry to help with client records.

• Provide tutoring and/or help teach basic English. 
• Assist families with adjusting to life in Indianapolis. 
• Hold clothing and household goods drives. 
• Set up apartments for resettling families.

AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP: Monica Woodsworth, 317-261-3378
Adults 55+ can find service opportunities they are passionate about. With the AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP program (Retired and Senior Volunteer Program), use skills and talents learned over the years, or develop new ones while serving in a variety of volunteer activities in the community. Working as a volunteer clearinghouse, RSVP connects adults to Catholic Charities programs and other local organizations with volunteer needs.

AmeriCorps Seniors Companion Program: Courtney Schmidt, 317-236-1555

• Must be at least 55 years old
• Able to volunteer at least 15 hrs a week
• Meet income guidelines, pass background checks
• Love to help your neighbors and make new friends 
• Receive a small stipend
